Is it possible to see all the monuments of the Piast Trail in just an hour? Of course! Just visit Open-Air Miniature Museum of the Piast Trail, where you can admire a collection of iconic buildings, recreated in 1:20 scale. The museum features the Biskupin settlement, the Gniezno Cathedral, the palatium on Ostrów Lednicki (island), the Romanesque church in Giecz and others. Among around 40 models, you can also see other significant landmarks of Greater Poland, including the Old Market Square in Poznań and the Rogalin Palace.
What’s more, this open-air museum hosts living history lessons regarding the daily life of the first Piasts, Slavic beliefs, and it provides interesting facts about the Piast Trail. Festival of Legends of the Zielonka Forest, held in August, is another popular attraction organized by the museum.
