Dziewicza Góra is the highest point in the Zielonka Forest and the second highest in Poznań and its surroundings. While 145 metres above sea level may not sound particularly impressive, we guarantee that the climb from the car park can leave you catching your breath. Your reward is a fantastic panorama of the forest and nearby Poznań from the observation tower at the summit.
The hill is covered with mixed woodland, which is especially beautiful in autumn, shimmering in shades of gold and red. The walk from the car park to the summit takes about 15 minutes, followed by 170 steps leading to the top of the tower. From there, a true sea of trees stretches out in every direction, with views of the Warta Valley, and Poznań’s high-rise buildings in the distance.
The summit of Dziewicza Góra is one of the most important junctions of hiking and cycling trails in the Zielonka Forest Landscape Park. From here, you can take the red trail through the entire forest, the blue trail to the Baroque monastery in Owińska, or the yellow trail to the wooden church in Kicin.
